Get Primary Students Set for Minecraft Education Edition

Have you looked over the incredible opportunities available for creative learning in Minecraft Education Edition? If you have, then you know that you can teach everything from language arts to chemistry to social and emotional learning skills in the Minecraft:EE platform. How can you make the most of this asset in your classroom, especially with the youngest students?

When we want students to learn to write, we teach them underlying skills like a good pencil grip. When we want a room full of second graders (8 year olds) to successfully learn an MC:EE world, they need skills as well. Here are the skills I look for in my students. This requires about three 30 minute class periods to be sure everyone is on target with all of the skills. I like to use checklists for myself, but some students like the sense of accomplishment of having their own.
